Purpose of role
- Provide technical support to support helpdesk.
- Liaise with the support analyst and customer’s first level support to provide resolution on reported issues.
- Provide monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks within organization.
- Work closely with other teams locally and in other countries to escalate technical issues and devise solution.Key Duties Responsibilities
1. Working with customers/Help Desk to identify root cause and solution for the logged cases according to SLA agreed with customers/associates.
2. Patching/Deploying fixes delivered by R&D to customer’s test and live systems to solve issues reported by customers/associates.
3. May involve attending at client sites for problem investigation.
4. Working with client’s IT, other suppliers and system/hardware vendors during problem investigation.
5. Working hours :
- 08:00-17:00, 09:00-18:00 or 10:00-19:00 including 1 hour lunch time
- 5-day work every week, but rostering weekends and national holidays for phone standby
Skills / Knowledge & Experience
1. Total working experiences at least 4-5 years in technical support or software development.
2. Experienced with deployment / debugging of middleware, such as tomcat, jetty, apache, jboss, weblogic etc.
3. Exposure to general IT knowledge and network setup/VPN technologies.
4. Preferable with some programming experiences, such as VB, VC++, Java etc.
5. Familiarity with computer operation systems such as LINUX/UNIX, MS Windows with hands on experience running or developing application on LINUX/UNIX will have an advantage.
6. Knowledge in database application will be an added advantage.
7. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in both Chinese and English (need to discuss technical issues/tasks with other countries).
8. Service-minded and work well under pressure.
• Equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Information Technology.
